SolarEdge products
The SolarEdge system consists of three components:
SolarEdge PowerBox™
Datasheet
DC-DC power optimizers that perform MPPT per individual module while monitoring the performance of each module, thus preventing energy losses due to module mismatch, shading, etc. PowerBoxes always maintain a fixed DC string voltage, allowing optimal efficiency of the SolarEdge inverter.
In Photon Test (November 2010 edition), the SolarEdge PB250 Add-on PowerBox was compared with six different power optimizers and crowned test winner in three categories. Under realistic shady and non-shady conditions, the SolarEdge PowerBoxes increased the energy yield by up to 32 percent in some cases.
SolarEdge inverters
Datasheet
Single-phase and 3-phase DC-AC PV inverters, tailor made to work with power optimizers with >97% weighted efficiency and a 12-20 year warranty.
SolarEdge Monitoring Portal
Web-based and iPhone applications that provide module-level, string-level and system-wide PV monitoring. Module performance is communicated across existing power lines, so no extra wiring is required.
How to install SolarEdge
See how to install a SolarEdge system in four easy steps! The installation movie provides a hands-on review of the process of installing and configuring a SolarEdge system: setting up the PowerBoxes, installing the SolarEdge inverter, commissioning and activating the system and connecting the monitoring server. The installation movie also includes a quick glance at the various features and advantages offered by the SolarEdge system.
